THEArticket Barcelona is a single pass for 6 art museums in Barcelona. You can save more than 50% on the admission price for the following museums:

How does the Articket work?

The Articket is very simple to use: once purchased online, simply present the voucher at the ticket office of one of the participating museums. The ticket is valid for one year from the moment of first use, and allows you to enter the museums as many times as you want, even if only to see the temporary exhibitions. If you come back to Barcelona a second time within a year - trust me, the desire will be great - you can continue to use the Articket without problems. In addition, the Artket allows preferential access, ie no queues at the entrance!

Which museums are part of the Artket?

Picasso Museum: certainly it is one of the most famous museums in Barcelona, ​​it doesn't need much introduction. The Museum's collection is focused on the celebrated painter's early years, collecting more than 4.000 works of art inside. It is also one of the museums with the most queues at the entrance during the high season, in this case skipping the line with the Articket saves a lot of time.

National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC): one of the largest museums in all of Catalonia, the MNAC collects an exceptional collection of art from the Middle Ages to the modern era. The section of Romanesque wall art, the largest of its kind in the world, the result of enormous transport and restoration work to move the murals from their original locations. The other sections are also very extensive: notable examples of the Renaissance, such as Velazquez, or our Titian, and also those on modernism, with various pieces of furniture designed by GaudĂ­.

Antoni TĂ pies Foundation: Antoni TĂ pies was both an artist and an art collector. The foundation that bears his name collects most of his works, and a decent art collection with paintings by Goya, Kandiski and Klee, as well as a collection of American pottery from the pre-Columbian period. Finding the building is very easy, it is located one block from the famous Casa BatllĂł, on a side street of Passeig de GrĂ cia.

Contemporary Cultural Center of Barcelona (CCCB): dedicated to all-round art, the CCCB is one of the most vital centers in Barcelona. Its program is very rich, with events and events at any time of the year. Not only painting, but also photography, cinema and music: the Center gives voice to every aspect of contemporary art, with at least 10 temporary exhibitions every year.

MACBA: the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona is among the most interesting realities of art today. Its temporary exhibitions are among the most renowned in the city, embracing artists from all over the world. the artistic heritage of MACBA is enormous: it is rotated periodically offering visitors who return a second time a completely different experience.

Joan MirĂł Foundation: Joan MirĂł was one of the most influential artists in contemporary art, enriching many corners of Barcelona with his works. Most of his work, however, is found in the foundation that bears his name, in one of the most beautiful and unique buildings in the city, on MontjuĂŻc, where the artist himself participated in its design.

How much does the Articket cost?

L'Articket costa 28,50€, if purchased directly from the Barcelona Tourist Office website, if bought directly in one of the museums, or in the Tourist Offices scattered around the city, the price is 30 €. The Artket includes admission to the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions of all the museums involved in the initiative, at no other additional cost. If you are traveling with minors, you can do without buying the Articket, as in most cases children under 16 are entitled to free admission.

  • MNAC: Parc de MontjuĂŻc, s / n (metro Espanya, lines 1 and 3). Opening: Tue-Sat 10: 00-20: 00; Sun and holidays 10: 00-15: 00. Closed on Mondays.
  • Fondazione Antoni TĂ pies: Carrer de AragĂł, 255 (Passeig de GrĂ cia metro, lines 3 and 4). Opening: Tue-Sun, 10 am-00pm. Closed on Mondays.
  • CCCB: Carrer de Montalegre, 5 (metro Catalunya, lines 1, 3, 6 and 7). Opening: Tue-Sun 11: 00-20: 00.
  • MACBA: Plaça dels Ă€ngels, 1 (Catalunya metro, lines 1, 3, 6 and 7). Opening: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 11: 00-19: 30; Sat 10: 00-21: 00, Sun 10: 00-15: 00. Closed on Tuesday.

Where can you buy the Articket?

The Articket can only be purchased with a discount on the official website of the Barcelona Tourist Board. You can also buy it at full price in the ticket offices of individual museums, or in the tourist offices scattered around the city, however in this case you can use a little trick: since the museums always have free WiFi inside them, you can also enter the building, buy it online and just collect the ticket at the ticket office immediately afterwards.
